        I second Michael S's opinion - this would be extremely helpful. There are some workarounds documented around the web, but we shouldn't need workarounds. This should be a native ability of EF when dealing with SS (or any other DB with synonym support).

        I agree, this feature would be immensely helpful for me right now, and it's a big annoyance to work around it.

        I'm sorry but this item should be on the top of the list not supporting synonyms is unacceptable, Is a front for a supported object like a table. And a synonym in most cases will be used as a backward compatibility method. But yet people vote for having FK's on Unique Key's, makes no sense.
